Saint Barbara

This image is handmade hagiography (hand painted) with gold leaf, with light aging according to the technique of Mount Athos. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Saint Barbara is considered not only in Greece but also in other countries the protector of artillery. In orthodox hagiography he is often painted with a glass in his hand, being a protector against sudden death and not wanting the dying to be deprived of divine communion. We often find it near a tower (with three windows) or holding a book (for the dying) or a palm branch.
Her memory is honored by our church on December 4 of each year.
