The miraculous icon “PANAGIA EPTASPATHI” has the grace to protect
whoever invokes it, to stop every evil that threatens him no
just one believer but also the whole family.
The Virgin Mary is depicted, at a young age, with three spears
on the right shoulder and three on the left, which are held by
her hands. THE SEVENTH – CENTRAL SPEAR and unique with the hilt to
below, it touches MIRACULOUSLY between the hands of the Virgin Mary
targeting and neutralizing the COMMON FOCUS of the six spears. The icon is also known as “The Prophecy of Simeon the Righteous” or “The Peace of Evil Souls”. The icon of the Virgin Mary with the Seven Swords is related to the prophecy of Saint Simeon the Theodochos, which he records the evangelist Luke: “…and a dagger is going through your soul…” (Luk. 2.35). The specific words refer to the pain that the Virgin would experience at the moment of separation from her beloved Son, when they crucified Him in front of her eyes.
