Saint Luke the Physician

This image is handmade hagiography (hand painted) with gold leaf. It has the signature of the hagiographer and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Saint Luke the Physician, Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea, was canonized in May 1996 by the Russian Orthodox Church. He was a Russian high priest and professor-surgeon.
His memory is commemorated on June 11.
